University Sports Scholarships

This paper ran a series of articles this year concerning athletic scholarships. When are the athletic directors going to figure this out. It's been going on for at least 20 years.

I can say this, I've never met a graduate of a US University, who attended on an athletic scholarship, who wasn't highly supportive of this program. Also there is no doubt that in the past 40 years of CIAU Hockey Championships many have been won by schools offering "illegal" scholarhsips. Just take a look at the teams that played in the Nationals this year, and tell me that at least two of them weren't fully funded with "under the table" rides.
