Fred Whitacre was the most colorful basketball coach in the history of Sir George Williams University.  A lifelong pal and lover of life, Fred went on to become a legendary executive in Major League Baseball.  He resides in Colorado Springs with his wife Mary Anne "Pix", only leaving for frequent trips to Paris and Europe when he hears that I'm planning a visit.  One of Fred's memorable moments at Sir George came when he had to run the Sir George "International Invitational Annual Basketball Tournament", and coach the team at the same time, because the athletic director's car would only run backwards.
